Bible Plan Readings - Week 19
"Happiness is the great question confronting mankind." Agree or disagree?
From Sunday's message in Matthew 4, or the Meet Jesus Bible Reading Plan this week, what is impacting you the most? Was there a word, phrase, Bible verse, or theme that impacted you? Hint: What did you highlight
After Jesus is baptized, how does he begin his ministry in Matthew 4? Why is this significant to us as followers of Jesus?
In Matthew 4, Jesus spent time with people. What kind of people? Does this resonate with you? How?
Read ahead to Matthew 5:1-2. What caused Jesus to move to the mountainside? And what does he do next? How important is teaching to Jesus?
In Matthew 5-7, Jesus is going to teach his first recorded talk (sermon). It's going to start with true happiness (human flourishing). What's the connection to seeing the crowd and starting to teach?
Why do you think Jesus starts his teaching ministry by addressing happiness? Why is happiness so hard to find?
