Sunday's Message Text:
Bible Plan Readings - Week 30
START IT.
Stop and consider how selfless Jesus was on Earth. Can you think of an example other than the cross? How does that encourage you to be selfless like Jesus?
SHARE IT.
From Sunday's message in Matthew 7, or the Meet Jesus Bible Reading Plan this week, what is impacting you the most? Was there a word, phrase, Bible verse, or theme that impacted you? Hint: What did you highlight
How does Jesus point out the need for self-awareness in verses 1-5? Does correction/evaluation start with others...or you?
What is the obstacle image mentioned in verse 3? How are obstacles opportunities for God to work?
How do we see clearly in verse 5? How do we avoid being a hypocrite?
If you don't want to be a hypocrite, then what do you do based on verse 7, followed up by verse 12?
SHOW IT.
Jesus is starting to land the plane of his sermon with an invitation. When was the last time you answered God's invitation? What was he inviting you to? Did you follow through?
How are invitations opportunities for God to work? What does an invitation require of you?
If Jesus invites you into his kingdom, how does that effect others? Would you say currently you love God AND love others, or just one of these?
Is there any next step God is inviting you to ask for, seek for, or knock on the door? How can you be proactive to "do" right now?
FINAL THOUGHT
Take a look at your summer. Determine if you have been passive or active in the Kingdom of God. Jesus has invited you in. Decide what to do with the invite.
