Love Showed Up

This week will end the Revelation of Jesus Christ, and so end 2025. This has been a 2-year journey through the Bible. In 2025, Cornerstone looked at how Love Shows Up. Revelation is Jesus showing up! For those who believe in Him, it will be the fulfillment of all that has been hoped for, and to those who do not, everlasting judgment. Lamentations is the last of the Old Testament books to finish out the whole Bible in 2 years. Please join us in 2026 for the whole Bible in a year! The sign off has to be that Jesus (Love) showed up, and He is coming again. Lord, come quickly! That is the Big Picture!

Each week, as you take in the Bible, find some friends to talk it out. You can follow this simple guide to help. First, R.E.A.D. and P.R.A.Y. on your own. Then, meet with friends to share what you've learned.

Week 52.5

Bible Reading Plan

Daily Bonus*

START IT.

We're reading the Bible together in 2025 to see how Love Shows Up from the Old Testament and into the New Testament. How do we understand so many stories and lessons through the entire Bible while trying to stick to the "sacred timeline"? The answer is the big picture. If we get the big picture, we get the story the Bible is trying to tell. From Sunday's message or The Big Picture Bible Reading Plan this week in the book of the Revelation of Jesus Christ and Lamentations, what is impacting you the most? How has praying daily through the Psalms impacted you? Was there a word, phrase, Bible verse, or theme that impacted you?

R.E.A.D. - Repeated words. Examine & mark. Ask what I learn about God? Do.

STUDY IT.

Read Revelation 20:10, 14-15. 21:8. What is the ultimate end of Satan, Death, and Hades, and all opposed to God?

Read Matthew 8:12, Matthew 10:28, Mark 9:47-48, & Revelation 20:10. How is eternal judgment described (Hell, Lake of Fire, Outer Darkness)?

Read Revelation 21:1-22:5. What is the ultimate end of God’s people?

Read Revelation 3:5, 13:8, 20:11-13, & 21:27. What is the difference between the books God will use to judge all mankind? How does the book reflect the course of judgment?

Read Revelation 22:12-15. What does Jesus promise? Read Revelation 22:20. When could Jesus return?

SHARE IT.

Read Revelation 22:20. What comes to mind as you think about your year in 2025? How does Jesus' imminent return affect your reflection?

Read Revelation 22:20. After 2025, how are you thinking about 2026? How does Jesus' imminent return affect your reflection?

Who are you praying for in 2026 to believe in Jesus and name be found in the Lamb’s Book of Life?

What was the most challenging and/or encouraging thing for you in Revelation?

What was the most challenging and/or encouraging thing in your Bible study for 2025?

FINAL THOUGHT

104 weeks. That is how many Talk-It-Outs it has taken in 2 years to get through the whole Bible. Pastor Aaron set out to get people in their Bibles with a 5-day-a-week reading plan, and asked me (Richard) to consider writing the study. Originally, it was planned for 2024 to go through the Old Testament, and then continue on into 2025 through the New Testament. Thank you for the privilege and the grace for all the long or confusing questions. Nobody has benefited more than I. The final thought was always an effort to get back to Christ’s redemption and the hope that believers have in Him. The Big Picture is, and will always be, that Love Showed Up in Jesus Christ, and now we look forward to Him showing up again to defeat evil once and for all. In the meantime, we love His (coming) appearing, the Church, and our enemies, proving we really do believe Jesus, the Lion and the Lamb, only Son of God, Redeemer, Savior, Friend. See you in 2026!
